Maryborough State High School in the Fraser Coast Region underwent a $3 million school block renovation in 2019 – the first stage of a $12 million Master Plan renewal – led by Australian construction firm, Integral Construction.
Part of the Queensland Government’s Renewing Our Schools program – the project at Maryborough State School delivered a new kitchen, decking area, café space, conference facilities, lecture facilities, and virtual reality and green room spaces to the school’s J Block.
The productive collaboration continued in Term 1, with new STEM Coding and Robotics facilities built, including the completion of conference and staff rooms. The new internal fit out was quickly followed by a high-quality external rebuild of two school buildings - seeing through the creation of a new centre for educational innovation on the Fraser Coast.
A two storey Student Enrichment Precinct featuring new classrooms, artificial sports turf fields with lighting and seating, sheds and large scale storage, a bore for the school oval and new seating are now all well on their way as Wombat Hire and Integral Construction finish setting the stage for Maryborough State High to be recognised as a world class, state of the art school.
The collaboration was an undeniable success with a strong partnership established for future work between Wombat Hire and Integral Construction.
Since their Maryborough State School collaboration, Wombat Hire and Integral Construction have joined forces to show how it is done across a slew of successful projects around Queensland.
Integral Construction said of their partnership: ‘Wombat Hire have been used on multiple projects now and have given quality and reliable service and are more than willing to work in with projects times and targets, highly recommended.’
