We have a range of Mini Diggers equipped to assist with local government projects, civil construction, building works, and in private sector (residential) areas. We provide excavation services for landscape projects, trenching (power/water/irrigation/solar), drainage works, foundations, footpaths, walk/bike trails, driveways, swimming pools, preparation of building pads for tanks/sheds, fencing, retaining walls, rock walls, rock/log placement, turfing works and more.
Additionally, we can assist with yard clean-ups and rubbish removal and tree and palm removal and relocation. We also have a range of larger machines such as 3.5 tonne and 5 tonne excavators for larger projects.
The team at Wombat Hire have many years of experience in the civil construction and landscape trades gained through plant operation, business and management roles.
We value honesty, reliability and take pride in our work using quality materials, late model low hour reliable machines and best practice techniques.
Our business was realised during a short term of unemployment in the civil construction industry when it became evident that sourcing specific equipment for tight access work was very difficult in the Fraser Coast region and other operators and companies were not easy to contact or get along with.
Wombat Hire started in 2017 with just one mini excavator and a landcruiser and a mission to provide a specialised excavation service to local government, civil construction and building industries and to the private residential sector. We now have 5 excavators, 2 skid steer loaders (bobcats) and 3 tipper trucks as well as a large range of attachments such as Augers, Rock Breakers, Sieve Buckets etc. As well as having yards in Maryborough, Gympie and Sunshine Coast.
